Aerial photography is one of the most fun things you can do with an airplane.
I will gladly take anyone up for photo runs, whether professional photographer or amateur. We can have a fun flight and make some airborne memories.
Q: Is Aerial photography difficult? A: Taking photos from an airplane can be tricky. Issues arise regarding vibration, haze and zoom. Q: But can I try it on any flight? A: Certainly. I have even had students ask me to take the controls during a lesson so they could take photos. Q: Do you have any experience working with serious pro photographers? A: I sure do. I often work with local professional photographers. Progress shots of construction projects are often the subjects. See the Children's Hospital photo. Q: What sort of photos have you flown? A: I have a regular customer who takes photos for his real estate auctions. Others include local news photographers (see the tornado damage photo taken by Joe Songer of the Birmingham News. Q: Must I take photos through the window glass in the plane? A: Of course not. The left window of my plane opens fully to allow unrestricted visibility. (And yes, I am totally comfortable flying from the right seat.) Q: Have you flown videographers? A: Yes. I can support any kind of photography. Q: I would like to obtain some good aerials of my business. Can you recommend a photographer to fly and take the shots? A: Sure. And if you would like you can fly with us in the back seat and point out the specific targets you want photographed..
